The Arizona Coyotes recalled forward Dylan Strome from the Tucson Roadrunners Sunday afternoon, assigning Mario Kempe to Tucson.

Strome was assigned to the Roadrunners on October 9th after two games with the Coyotes. In his 15 games with Tucson, he recorded 26 points (8G, 18A), which was second only to Chris Bourque of the Hershey Bears and the most among AHL rookies. Strome was riding a seven game point streak prior to the call up.

Coyotes GM John Chayka said Strome worked on everything he was asked to and his production was impressive. “He continues to progress on his all-around game and we felt he earned the opportunity to be back in Arizona.”

Playing on the first line with Nick Merkley and Lawson Crouse, Strome found himself on the scoresheet almost every game, contributing to Tucson’s solid start to the season.

Strome will likely return to Coyotes lineup Tuesday against his older brother Ryan as Arizona faces off against the Oilers in Edmonton.
